Abstract

This study investigates the interplay of leadership style performance, work communication, and job satisfaction on collegiality among staffs at Putrajaya Community College. Utilizing the Leader-Member Exchange (LMX) theory as a theoretical framework, the research aims to elucidate that high-quality leader-member relationships can influence communication satisfaction and overall job satisfaction, thereby fostering a collaborative work environment. The research employs a quantitative approach, using data obtained through established instruments. Using simple random sampling technique, a total of 127 sample size was obtained and data was analysed using the SPSS. The findings show that leadership style performance, work communication and job satisfaction are significantly related with and influence collegiality, with job satisfaction being the strongest predictor. The findings provide an understanding of the dynamics at play within Putrajaya Community College, revealing the critical role collegiality plays in enhancing organizational effectiveness. Results are expected to offer valuable insights for institutional leaders seeking strategies to bolster collegial relationships and improve educational outcomes in the context of higher education. Ultimately, the research aims to fill existing gaps in the literature surrounding the interplay of these variables within the unique context of Putrajaya Community Colleges.
